meet the muse. abbey clancy.
1. must-haves. which worn. pieces are currently your top favorites?
i was delighted when i got a pale blue knitted jacquemus maxi dress which i missed out on first time round - another perk of buying preloved!!!

2. pre-loved fashion. why is it important to you?
i actually love the romance of it all. i used to work in a vintage shop in liverpool called bullet proof and i once got an old men’s blazer. in the pocket was an old theatre ticket to a show in paris dated to the 1960’s. i love thinking about the journeys that these clothes have had and lives of the people wearing them. back then, it was all about craftsmanship and clothes were made to last. there was no fast fashion. pre-loved is testament to them that they are still around today.

3. role models. who are the brands or individuals pioneering the movement towards more sustainable futures that are inspiring you lately?
“it’s great to dress well but i think we have a responsibility to our planet. you can still look hot without it literally costing the earth.”
4. changing more than outfits. how are you applying eco-friendly awareness into your lifestyle?
as a family of six, i teach my children about the importance of looking after our planet. having two girls and two boys has been handy for passing down clothes! for me, it’s also about the provenance of food. i always buy local and am extremely conscious of waste so i try to buy proportionately simple things. i take reusable shopping bags with me, limit plastic, recycle, upcycle, and reinvent pretty used jars as vases or little pots for makeup brushes etc.

5. we love your fashion sense. what style advice can you give to our worn. readers interested in buying better?
i think buy less wear more. i like to invest in key pieces such as a great tux which is timeless and can be worn with a pair of jeans or over a little black dress. i also have a thing for boots. i love a good heeled boot so i tend to spend a little bit more and wear them to death. i now buy things that are comfy and practical but still stylish as i’m always on the go with the kids but still want to feel and look good. my go to colour is always black!!!
